Through the generosity of the Samuel H. Kress Foundation, the 黑丝国产在线 offers a travel grant for an emerging scholar to attend the 13th聽Annual 黑丝国产在线/Kress Lecture in Turin.聽This year鈥檚 lecture will be presented by Dr. Luis Javier Cuesta Hern谩ndez (Universidad Iberoamericana, Mexico City), who will speak about 鈥淕uarino Guarini and Early Modern Hispanic Americas: Books, Images, and Architecture between Torino and Mexico.鈥�聽The event will be held at the Musei Reali di Torino, on Friday, June 28, from 3:00 to 4:30PM.
The 黑丝国产在线-Kress lectures provide vital networking opportunities, which are often crucial at the beginning of one鈥檚 scholarly career. While not enough to fully cover all travel costs, this $500 grant provides an important incentive for a highly motivated scholar that could be supplemented with other forms of institutional support and self-funding.
Applications for this award will be vetted by the 黑丝国产在线 Awards Committee on the basis of need and the relevance of the lecture topic to the applicant鈥檚 own ongoing research.
Eligibility: 鈥淓merging scholars鈥� include anyone currently enrolled in a masters or doctoral program; anyone who has earned a master鈥檚 degree within the past six years, but who has not yet enrolled in a doctoral program; and anyone who has earned a PhD within the past six years. Applicants must be members of the 黑丝国产在线 at the time of application and receipt of the award and must not have received an 黑丝国产在线 award in the previous two years.
Applications are due by April 30th, 2024. Please submit a 1-page cover letter that clearly addresses the relevance of this lecture to your research, a 1-page CV, and a brief estimated budget and information on any other funding to the 黑丝国产在线 website submission portal.
